Swordfish Charter San Diego

The most sought-after game fish on the planet.

A Dedicated Broadbill Swordfish Mission

The broadbill swordfish is one of the most sought-after game fish on the planet. Fast, powerful, built like a torpedo with a bill on the front, and found in water that demands a serious boat and a captain who knows what they’re doing. This is a 12-hour dedicated operation – 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. – targeting broadbill in San Diego’s offshore deep water. This is not a casual trip. It’s a hunt.

12-hours dedicated mission:

The Swordfish Charter is booked by anglers who’ve thought about this fish for a while. People who know what a swordfish can do and want to experience it firsthand. If that’s you, this is your trip.

This is a Private Charter

Your group, your boat, your experience. No strangers, no party boat crowds, no waiting around. Just you and your crew on a fully equipped vessel working San Diego’s shoreline.

San Diego for Swordfish

San Diego’s offshore geography is legitimate swordfish territory. Deep water is accessible within range of a day trip – something that can’t be said for most of the U.S. coastline. The warm currents, the deep submarine canyons, and the baitfish that congregate in this zone create conditions that draw broadbill. We run the Swordfish Charter with full knowledge of these grounds, the timing, the bait, and the rigging required to get a swordfish to commit.

Daytime swordfishing has exploded as a technique in recent years, and San Diego is one of the best places in the country to do it. This trip takes full advantage of that.

The Boats and Equipment

The Swordfish Charter runs on the 25 Bahia and 28 Parker —our larger vessels. Yamaha outboards cruise at 18–27 knots. Seeker Rods, Shimano Reels, Simrad GPS/Sonar/Radar. Oversized bait tanks with 3–5 scoop capacity. Catch iced immediately on deck. Twelve hours in offshore water means you need a boat that’s genuinely equipped for it, and Brothers delivers.
